DESCRIPTION_
Steaming from rock, Barcelona’s Celestial Bums develop a thick and hypnotic wall of sound that emanates a monotone neopsychedelia, like different streams, lysergic, spiritual, earthly and heavenly that cross each other and flow in their long compositions, wrapped up by tribal tambourines and shakers. Their lyrics speak about travels, freedom, and consciousness, influenced by the Beat enthusiasm as well as by deeper and darker roots, like Blake, Huxley or Whitman.

In March 2012 they release their self-titled debut album, consisting in 4 tracks and almost 40 minutes of a trippy, psychedelic soundscape experience, getting positive reviews amongst the psych underground scene. Popular Spanish magazine Mondosonoro, ranked it as the 5th best self edited Catalan album in 2012 and they were invited to play at the showcases of Primavera Sound Festival.
—
In June 2013 they release a 12” split through UK’s label Psyilocybin Sounds

During 2014 Celestial Bums toured the Iberian Peninsula taking part of the most important festivals of the genre like Reverence Festival Valada, Zaragoza Psych Fest, Madrids Psych Out Fest or Villamanuela Festival. They also released a couple of singles, one of them being a Rolling Stones cover for a tribute album released by Cleopatra Records, sharing roster with bands like Clinic, Allah-Las and The Vacant Lots.

though spacious and unearthly realms, and that’s exactly
what they do” - The sound of confusion (UK)
